Hi everyone!
I hv been trying to figger out how those snare loops works. There is one style used a lot in wrecked machines tracks, as well in gms tracks (also in "growling machines" tracks). Let's say i hv a 64th bar. Then the snares are played on that basic sequence, like the 5th, 13th, 21th, 29th, 37th, 45th, 53th, 61th note. There is some freaky cool variation that i listen into this loop, when it gets to the 61th note ore something near to the end, happens some freaky thing with some snares notes, like maybe a snare note beein delayed and streched (it is like a snare suddently beein blowed.. dont know how to explain hehe !!??) or some ghost notes in a nice way with effects... I hope u could understand what i mean. This is a very comum trick used in a lot of tracks.. It has many ways of do it, it is like something that gives more presence and grove to the snares, making the loop drum seem more FAT. If u want some examples check out gms vs wrecked - accoustix OR any other track those guys make together. U can also listen some kind of those loops in some ultravoice tracks, like mushroom sea rmx or bizzare contact tracks, or many others.
There are many tricks around. If u guys could drop here some tips about how to make my snares seem more DYNAMIC in my tracks it would be fabulous!
Thanks for your time ,
See u around

i dont think there is anything special..... try to make shorter notes of the same sample or shorter midi notes if youre using it in a sampler... play with the volumes to make that mechanic "trrrrrrrrr" sound before the actual steady snare sample.
about the other effects..... just offline process some cool effects.... maybe one snare with a big reverb? maybe one with a good 1/16t delay on it.... maybe one with a flanger.... possibilites are endless
bounce my man, bounce.           "On the other hand, you have different fingers."
