i'm using cubase SX 2.
i'm using drum editor to edit all my drums (kick, hats and snare). when i listened to the exported material i found sometimes the snare is not kicking at the same time as the kick... i thought it was something with the ear but no... it happened in the same place every time.

when i opened the drum editor i noted some notes were out of place (by milimiters)... probably because of bad pastes... some are 2 milimiters to the left... others 3 milimitters to the right... whatever.

what i want to know is how do i snap this notes to the 1/16 they're supposed to be (AKA the one their near). i've tried moving each note slightly to the left so they snap (got tired preety soon, lots of notes) and selecting a large group and doing the same (doesn't work... only if all the notes are the same distance away from the snap).

how do i snap them all to the grid ?

sorry for the explanation... i'm portuguese and i couldn't explain better hope it was clear. thanks in advance...

first set the tempo to 1/16 or 1/32 depending where you want to put it, then just press the key " Q " (quantitize) and the notes get snaped to the grid.

there is also a button in cubase near the play button or something to activate the snap.

its happening because of the cubase whie exporting. i suggest u use hit points mode and than quantize. it`s more precise than just quantizing all the snare part at once.           if u dig deep enough u just might reach the sky...

i guess your using VST sampler, vst can be un-ocurate and cubase export too.
what you need to do is to record your samples to audio. than, on the wave editor zoom us much as you can and set a new "start point" to the sample.
than quantize the sample to the beat.
