yes iam facing the same problem and as suggested by acidonacid even i changed the privacy setting in my firewall to allow animations .... but iam still stuck with the same problem ....
i have IE 6.0 and Firefox 1.0.6 ....i use firefox ....the simleys move and animate normally in IE but not in firefox ....and iam using zone alarm pro as my personal firewall along with norton 2003 (fully updated)

OK, only now I saw that you have the problem with FireFox. By the looks of it it's a browser problem and not a firewall problem (because the gifs do work on IE)
Try this - go to about:config page (type it in the url link box and press <enter>  )
scroll down and search for the entry image.animation_mode and set its value to 'normal'
hope this would help.

go to privacy.
SITE LIST.
edit isratrance
options
ad. blocking
animation.
uncheck the animation box

mmm nothings working ...
i reinstalled firefox but the problem still persists ..

btw i checked what u wrote but again i unchecked the animation box yesterday itself ...
i guess my firefox is jinxed ....yesterday i suddenly lost all my bookmark ...yes yes all of a sudden the bookmarks are empty and everything else is reset back to default like the start page and all ?????? ...
ill probably format my computer this week and then get back if the problem persists .....
