						| What is with the lack of smiles? It really bothers me sometimes. Seeing others unhappy makes me unhappy.
 Smile more!

						| Yes, Sir Shiranui, Sir!! We shall out-smile everybody in the world!
 Sir!!

   So, here is my contribution.
Tonight I decided to wash my garage door (no, nothing smiley about that yet). It used to be white, but now it looked more like a hunter’s fatigues. So, I got a pressure washer, followed all the instructions with a super-duper detergent and a super-duper spraying setting. The results were beautiful. The door was sparkling white again, except for a dark grey spot about a sq.ft. right in the middle of it. Bummer! I re-applied the detergent, soaked and rinsed – no difference. I put the nozzle right next to the spot, in danger to peel the paint. Nothing!! I gave up, turned off my pressure washer, took another look at the blasted stain. And suddenly I realized something incredible: that was not just a messy spot in the middle of my door – it was a dozen or so of cat paw prints! Well, they didn’t look like my own paws, so I was stunned for a second. I figured, somebody had decided to have a peaceful retreat one day in a tiny space between the ceiling and the door (which hangs horizontally when it’s open). Still don’t know how that cat managed to jump that high or what magic dirt it had on its paws...

Well, maybe it’s a boring story. It wasn’t to me. So, here is my smile:

						| a lot of people experience not so nice things (or interpete things as "not so nice") and transfer it into their behaviour (not smiling and so on). It´s understandable. The trick is to not let those negativities of others touch you.
Smiling is also a good medicine. For your face and for your mind.

						| No pressure. BTW, I read a study somewhere that people's mood improved after they forced themselves to smile and keep their chin up (literally). Supposedly, association between emotional states and body language goes both ways. Cool!..
I have my doubts, though: by this logic, Americans should be the happiest people in the world - I am pretty sure that's not the case.
