Well if you can find a sampler that you can upgrade with gigabytes of memory, cheap 40 gig hard drives, easy waveform editing (doesn't exist) you're gonna be paying lots of cash. I have an Emu ESI-32, sometimes I use it, but more often than not I'll just load up EXS-24.. It loads samples faster, it supports 24 bit, and everything is on screen for me to visually manuiplate, not buried in sub-menus. |

Well that kind of goes beyond sampler, the RS-7000.. kind of like the Akai MPC-2000.. It's also a sequencer and a synth.. even as cool as it is the max RAM is 64 megs, which I feel is an enormous undersight by Yamaha, and why the hell do all these samplers still use old expensive SIMMS? |

k you have pulsar no? so use it whith a sampler softwere and if you dont try the emu ultra siries they kicking ass but you must know that you have to load sampels from scasi hard drive and the ram is also somthing you should concider and the numbers of audio outs (for exampel:if you have 8 audio output you can modifay each midi chanel to one sterero output so you can modifay 4 midi chanells and do mix on each chanell alone think of the posebilitis for good mixing).and remember you some place to store your info thats whay you have to use hard drive most of the samplers nedd scasi hard drive althogh i heard that some samplers can be use ide hard drive. good luck frinde |

The only bad thing about HALion is that it eats CPU power. Other than that, it's great. Very recommended. I assume that your computer is stronger than my AMD Duron 900, so it's ok. |
