sort of yes, though the chorus has more features like modulation etc....
but this technique is exactly the same as employed by logic's sample delay.
well nik we use cubase (contra and Surrender)
so what ever is going on with logic is not our territory.

first,
doubling is a very common trick in almost
every recording with a big sound,
the corusing effect is created due to small
fluctuations in the differences between the
audio parts, whyle using vocals, the vocals
will be doubled by recording the vocalist
twice singing the same (almost the same)
thing.
in sytnths usualy you copy the audio part and budge it 10 ms backwards, although,
you could try playing the part again if you have a keyboard...or if its a complex lead,
change with in the some midi notes there
starting point by a few miliseconds as well,
it sound more interesting that way. |

You can also achieve this in reason using the spider audio merger / splitter and a DD1 dealy with about 3 ms of delay time on one channel. Once you learn the routing, you can do this for virtually any sound. Or seet up a combinator patch and NN19 sampler to treat vocal samples giving them a larger than life sound ala hujaboy.
