musicxp.com covers just about everything. If you an additional PC tweak bible...Google Black Viper PC tweeks. Amazing stuff, and it's broken down into levels of sophistication. So depending on how brave and knowledgable you are about PC's you can tweek the hell out of anything.

An interesting thing about XP is that it is configured to run much slower than possible. Delays are put on everything from click register speed, to icon generation...everything. This is done to make windows "appear" more streamlined and "smooth". If you disable, or lower these built in delays you will get a PC that "appears" faster...i.e. Does what you want, faster. It really makes a difference.

Does anyone here currently use TinyXP for making music and also as their regular computer?

What drawbacks does TinyXP have by leaving things out that would annoy you if using it for day to day use?

I really don't do anything with my computer other than make music, read web pages with Firefox, and write programs C/C++, Ruby... and I want it to automatically find wireless routers and associate like normal (Wireless Zero)... is TinyXP for me?

Saf > i use tinyXP only for music. The version i got won't get you on the internet (wich is very good, otherwise i would be surfing instead of being creative), so i use another pc for internet in my living room.

I can really recommend it, superfast boot, and shutdown takes 3-5 seconds

if internet is a must, then no, TinyXP is not for you. Unless there exists a version with internet, i don't know of that.           myspace.com/auralinvasion

Actually, I seem to have found a version of TinyXP with internet, wireless zero etc. I may install it in a virtual machine to see how it is.

Thanks Alex
