Here is a small tip for a faster boot.
Keep the desktop clean and with nothing on it, just add your favorite things to the quick launch bar.

its an old but good tip!

always u should keep ur desktop clean this will lower the things ur pc loads in every startup!

considering desktop links are nothing but small icons that don't load anything into memory, i highly doubt that makes a noticable difference.

what does make a difference though is any sort of 'quick launcher' etc.. that gets loaded at startup and ends up at the bottom right hand side of your screen.

if those on desktop are shortcuts then yes,it has no efect in the time.but if it is files(tracks,folders etc)then it needs some more time to load them
you are right about the quick launcher ,though...

bu the way does anyone know hot to remove the windows firewall sign from there?i tried to set the"always hide"choise in the launcbar properties but no luck...           Signature:
