Hey wasup guys.
I pretty much got some nice mastering done with kik and bass but I listened to some artist tracks.(Aquatica-???) or (the new Astrix Artcore trx)
Their kik sound (around the MID section is small and firm, not puching out of the speakers, but has a nice fat low frequency punch to it)
How is this done. I have a nice Compressed clean kik but i wanna get this style down.
If anyone can help me out and comment on this it would be great!!!!
thnx and respect |

do you make your own kicks? if so than you just have to experiment with the parameters...
if i was you i would do a search, i remember that amygdala made a nice post about kicks where he explains alot....
it all boils down to knowledge, if you know how to create a basic kick then you are one step closer...
the rest is up to good eq to find that extra punch and some slight compression to get more density...
search search and experiment... its a topic thats been discussed many times before...
and its not quite that easy to make a super kick.... if it was what would we do...
