1)SLug-Alpha model=starts off with a groovy melody...serious acid synths follwing the way in here" ..slug with his classic stuff ..good acidic melodies and the track goes boom at 1.21 min ..with some crazy melodies, hard bass and acid synths...the track has some surprise at 2.34 min..the track goes realy slaughtering ur mind with some crazy evil melodies aching the acid heads for some more of this crunch.slug changes his bass at 2.11 min.adding some more intense melodies at 2.22min..then the track goes with the lyrics"robot" and then boom ..u wont stop stompin ur feet to this energy bar.the track gets harder as it progresses.this is what u call a perfect twilight treat with loads of variation from bass line to synths to melodies.incredible . 10/10 .
2)Slug-24 hours = starts with some heavy kicks..stomping bassline and adds some serious melody at 0.45 min ..this track is sayin get ready for the mayhem...."24 hours = 1 day.. we dont have more then one day" the track realy goes a turn around at 1.48min slug adds some of his classic leads..and the track goes on stomping till 3.42 min ..then slug adds his swinging squeazy acid sample..some playing with the bass at 5min of the track..ur in a ride and I bet u wont stop stomping till this track ends.realy meaningfull intelligent track realy menifested with the name of the track.. 24 hrs ..realy intense. 8.5/10
3)Slug - Hardwired =Here slug starts with a cheesy spooky sample , stomping bass lines just cant stop ur booty shakin ..the track gets serious from 1.7 min ..this a perfect south african twilight track with aggressive leads ur realy lookin fwd to move ur hands lookin for something sharp to get edged on..slug adds some crazy acid leads at 2.42 min with those aggressive melodies realy taking ur mind to another level of psytrance experience ..the track goes on while slug again adds some nice melodies to make it a perfect twilight delight and not forgetting about those aggressive leds realy keepin ur mind perplexed.one stomper of a track ..some variation in this track will realy keep this file live long in ones case logic.slug does not let ya go till the very end of this track. 10/10 for this 1.
4)Slug -send and return =that same bassline with melodies which will ache a morning lover to play some alien project at this serious hour..some humourous samples with melodies which will realy get a smile on ones face.at 2 min of the track slug realy squeezes this track accelerating ones mind with some contradicting thoughts.thats what twilight lovers like.those melodies at 4min of the track slug haults ..taking the track in much deeper sense of emotion with those melodies realy making ones mind filled with colours.nice track to folllow on after hardwired.8.5/10
5)Slug-Random = starts off with heavy bassline ,at 1 min of the track ..slug takes you on a journey that wil randomly get synchronized with the frenzy arnd
.ya ,,a playfull unusual melody from slug.slug breaks at 2.00 min of the track.the track has those aggressive samples which keeps the track onthetwilightedge,slug keeps no variation in this track and has the same melody and rhythm going till 3.56 min of the track... slug slightly changes his bass line at 4.30 min ..changing the bass and rhythmn of the track adding some full on melodies.this track will realy keep ya feets moving on the floor.nice track to keep the chain in action.8/10 for this |

6)Slug-zombie= "I am not sure the ppl that u've heared are normal ''cant get more lyrics..and slug with his hard bass with those acidic burps..starts the track as a complete stomper and then adds some acidic melodies as gthe track progresses from 1.33 min..it takes ya higher and then the leads taking ya down ..slug is realy playin arnd with the acid heads here..adding some of the sadd melody and then lifting the listiner with his strong bass adding some more crazy acid samples at 2.58 min.. track realy has a tangy taste at 3.20 min..here u wont stop stomping ..track goes full on till 4.25 min when slug takes a break adding some lyrics ..at 5.23 track realy takes a twist u r realy wondering if its the same track.but yes slug adds his melody slightly changing the if and buts of it  .a TOTAL ROLLER COASTER RIDE. 9/10 for this 1
7)Slug-By Design = something diff here..slug stars with his evil melodies with stomping bassline."the only destinations You can realize by design" and the track goes bang bang adding some of sluggs trade mark leads.the melody is quite the same and the track is realy for a traveller or a person on a trip realy diverting ones attention exploring his thoughts in a diffferent array of imagination realy telling ya the right path ..or may be not.again those evil ducks making those quacks at 3.32 min.here slug has something diff concentrating more on the full on side then the dark side..as I see no much aggressive samples melodies and jus waiting for the sun to rise above the horizon ..fucking gets crazy as the track progresses.i bet ur stompin foot is now trying to jump hehe.
8.5/10
8)Slug-skydriver = here slug realy surprised me ..0.26 min u hear the stompy bass and says come on skydriver and track takes its peak after 1.11 min.asking one to jump and take a breather ..nice crazy melodies at 1.35 min ..the melodies here are crazy ..realy keeping one in the twilight zone.the track is realy intimidating to pure morning lovers as they r gettin the treat of both here ..the track gets aggressive and u realy feel there is some fencing going on with some get higher melodies slug breaks at 2 then goes on with his stompin beats twisting the track at 3.11 min adding some lyrics..adding acidic synths like
the one in alpha model and hardwired at 3.18 min of the track.reminding me of abomination with due respect to master SLUG.changing the bassline slightly at 4.10 min of the track.the best part comes now at 4.50.on the dancefloor ur waiting for whats next.adding some heavy bass at 5.42 .slug here plays arnd with the bass and keeping the listiner in anticipation of some take higher melody.track ends .8/10 for this 1
9)Slug-daydreamer =stomping bass a little bit of cheesy melody ..crazy leads following all the way.here u hear some female lyrics ..at 1.39 the track is keeping ya on the floor not letting ya foot stop stomping.some melodies at 1.57 min.keeping the enthu in the track the track progresses powering his bass at 3.24 min.the acid leads follow on the kicks asking ya to get ready for another stomper.the sweet melody follows while slug adds some serious samples at 4.45min.the lyrics "day dreamer" keeps loopin for a while and the serious melody keeping the track as a perfect twilight monster.not breaking the thythm of perplexed minds. a perfect stomper to end the ALBUM.8.5/10 for this 1.
Realy enjoyed rewiewing the cd. and more of it realy enjoyed listining to it.hope u all did.and who ever did'nt listen to it jus give it a try u might not be disappointed.I realy hope slug comes up with some more killer stuff like this.Love the entire cd all the trax r killer cant stop lsiting to this man's musik..Big kudos to nexus media and Master Slug on this release.

Hardwired and Zombie are stompers rest are just abt decent  ...! Dnt dig the slug sound that much... !But yes Hardwired is a special track  ..!

thanks for the feedback guys, its good to know which ones you find "special" for input into the next album ... also very good to get feedback from ppl who dont normally enjoy the slug sound .. keep it coming! |

Send and Return was probably the highlight for me, really crisp track with a cool twisted vibe. 24 Hours and Hardwired have been getting a lot of play around here too.
For some reason I hadn't actually listened to a whole lot of Slug compared to other South African artists before I bought this - so overall I was pleasantly surprised. Good album. |
