Hey, everyone,
I'm looking for more of that sort of "slow trance" style of chillout music. The sort of thing that started off as the last track on a Goa trance CD and took off as its own thing in the last 10 years. Stuff with trance beats and bass, but which is often in the 90-120 bpm range. Examples would include a number of things from Aes Dana and Asura (and Ultimae artists in general), Distant System, Cabeiri, and so on.
I think this is a wonderful but often ignored subspecies of chillout music, so please make some recommendations of lesser-known artists and tracks in this category. Thanks!

have you listened to Seamoon at all? his tracks are great, though not all have a 4-on-the-floor beat for the whole track, so I don't know if that automatically disqualifies it for you. this one does, however:
also, DeeperNET has been coming out with some rad tunes of this style that you might be interested in, such as:

That's exactly what I was going to post
These tracks had something magic. You can't feel it nowadays. The approach was different, the origin too. They were coming from goa/psy-trance oriented artists aiming at chilling you after 10 full-on tracks. I don't think we can compare them with ultimae etc
VA - Siesta is a great compilation

herbivore, well, you already know all the Ultimae stuff, and I assume you already heard of Scann-Tec as well, but just in case, as Meta-Morphosis, I also strongly recommend on Scann-Tec's Facial Memories album.

Yep, different vibe for sure
Those were different days.
The Ultimae stuff with those kind of vibes is special in a different way, but also has some of that old magic.
I love both !

May I humbly recommend my latest mix posted in the dj set thread... it may not consist of pure 4/4 chillout, but it contains a good amount.

Before the year ends I managed to record another chillset for friends and the community...this time there's some emphasis on the 4/4 side of downtempo psychedelic music in the middle of the set.
Hope you like it, comments are welcome.

Dmitry, I've known about your work for a long time but I somehow left you off the list. My apologies.

You can check out my music if you'd like... I have an album almost ready to be released which is exactly like you describe. Most of my tracks are 100-110 bpm, though I have some that max out at 125!

Lovely artist.
