So tell me, am I the only one who´s been missing chill releases lately?
until the beginning of this year, there been quite a few releases, all the time, many in the same month.. but now in these last 2 months there havent been many releases, just one here and there...
and neither any info on upcoming releases, like new ott, new ishq, new shulman, etc etc...
so did you guys also notice that, or am I alone here? |

common, ishq is releasing music all the time.. ott and shulman are on the new entheogenic. But you're right it's been pretty slow. |

the new Entheogenic is almost out and the new collaboration of Green Nuns of the Rev & Ishq (called Elemental Journey) is coming very soon as well. As for compilations, early july Ultimae is releasing a new compilation, Albedo, that looks (naturally for Ultimae) stunning.
Also, we just got the new Shpongle and quality complilations get released all the time (the most recent ones that are top class for me, Portal of Perceptions & Quality Relaxation).
So, I don't know for you sherlockalien but I find it hard to keep up with the releases as it is right now!

I dont like shpongle, so that doesnt count for me...
those 2 compilations you mentioned, indeed Im curious about those ones, but I dont even want to listen to the samples now since I got no money to buy anything at the moment.. gonna make a big trip in july hehehe
but I mostly mean artist albums
as for ishq: yeah they just released ishvara, and Im waiting for that shipment from saikosounds... but since real ishq and ishq vs shulman was announced, I cant wait for that
and why cant we get a vibrasphere full cd?! hehehe
but honestly, the one Im mostly waiting for is Ott.. come on man, I complain about the cover in your cd but I like your music hahaha |

Summer is the dance party season, especially July - August. Many are out and about and at festivals, so releasing an album in summer isn't always the most conducive for chillout. Fall should provide some nice releases.

Well if you guys go right now (July 10th) to the first Saikosounds page, you'll see there are not less than 7 chilled releases on it.

Actually I was just thinking that I've got a hefty list of chill out "I must have" CD's at the moment.
Not quite the same level of funding perhaps, nonetheless I'm looking forward to a floaty happy summer of mellow new sounds and hypnotic beats for those lazy hours
