Hi again im asking for advices to speed up my cubase 5 im in a middle of a project and the daw is getting really slow, i am aware of some ways to save the cpu but its weird i have only 8 instrument tracks open and the rest is audio i have almost 50 tracks in total.
RAM-6G
PROCESSOR-AMD A6-4400M APU WITH RADEON 2.70GHZ
The pc is not overloaded,cpu goes to 90% with the project plz give some advices its hard to work like this,peace

guess not the pc is fine the problem comes from cubase i think im not an expert in this but when i started the project cubase wasnt slow so... im guessing ,i have 280gb free |

you could try to freeze tracks together with inserted plugins and stuff to safe cpu..search für the little snowflake in the inspector left of the arrange window..

Is your HD a 7200 RPM?
How many processes do you have running in the background?
Do you have an anti virus and/or firewall running?

U can record all midi tracks in audio and disable all VST.That will save your CPU...
When U record all tracks in audio just press F11 and turn off VSts.
U can put all midi tracks in backup folder and use it when U need it..
But i think problem is in HDD.
U have 7200 rPm hdd or??
Press F12 in project and there U can si asio and disk usage..

so i should record all midi to audio and then freeze the midi ones ? |

disable the midis and freeze the audio files that you process a lot with inserts

sometimes only one tool is responsible for slowing down the daw. maybe try to find it. |
