i have had a paint gun modded to shoot crab apples, in preparation for the onslaught. No way I am getting nailed by a guy with head in his name, or hat for that matter

however the strategy for any throwing battle comes in when you realize that every crab apple you throw becomes your enemies ammo so if im not out in the first wave of attacks you will soon have hordes of swarms of crab apples approaching shortly. Untill all ammo is so mixed together that the sun is blocked out by whatever colors apples and pine cones are.

WOWOWOWOW!!! that's all i gotta say right now, its monday morning and i'm back at work, been here a couple hours already but my head is still swimming in the unbelievable imagery from the location. This place was freakin spectacular!!!!!
the live set hoe-down was awesome, what started out as a sound check with all 7 of us running our computers at once, turned into an opening ceremony of rediculously trippy downtempo with all of us throwing layers on top of each other.
then the beats came in after about an hour and the voodoo magic started. For about 3 hours straight all 7 of us stayed up there poppin sounds on top of each other while one person had the kick/bass/groove going, then occassionally one or two people would step out for a break and leave the reigns for the others, then we would switch out occassionally while never missin a beat.
I have never even thought it would be possible to midi sync 7 laptops together, but with the aid of Mac's Ethernet Midi Networking ability and a lot of research from Squee, we put up a standard household 8-1 Internet router and ran cat-5 cable all around the stage, it looked like quite intimidating as there were freakin cables everywhere!!
Many massive thank you's to everybody that was a part of this, from the awesome deco, the sound guy who had a hell of a task getting us all dialed into the main mixing board, all the heads that loaned all the sound toys to make it possible, Broos and shannon for the fresh food, squee and nicola for bustin their asses to make it happen, and the Monkey and Serena for toting me around and bringin a fat campsite setup to chill in.
Many new connections were made as the vibe was high with smiles and friendly faces. Attendance could've been better, but the peeps that were there were all left with their jaws open most of the night due to the sounds swirlin out of the speakers and the fact that it was improv, unrehearsed, audio alchemy happening right there under the stars.
I took home from the forest a lot of inspiration and definitely look forward to the next time I can get to Oregon. Now its time to hit the drawing board in the studio!

PS - THEY RECORDED ALL OF THE AUDIO!! I can't wait to hear how it sounds, hopefully links will be up in the next few weeks for it after the organizers retrieve it from the Hard-Disk Recorder.
