back in the mists of time, we released three, in our humble opinion, rather good compilations: "mashing up creation", "dubbed on planet skunk" and "more bass than space".
this was before downloads really took off, and so none of the compilations were ever uploaded (legally, that is). in time, the physical copies ran out and so, for nearly 10 years now, most of the tracks on the compilations have unfortunately been unavailable to music lovers.
on june 21st, we will be releasing "skunked on planet dub", a collection of tracks from those compilations. their original creators span genres and countries, but are all united by their love of large basslines, skanking rhythms and dubbed out beats.
to celebrate we will be running a competition of sorts. we have two rather unusual prizes: jigsaws of the original artwork for "mashing up creation" and "dubbed on planet skunk" (created by the amazing fractal billy).
how to win? well, please email info@dubmissionrecords.com and tell us the names of 5 of the people whose faces/likenesses are on the wall of the alien's studio that is on the cover of "dubbed on planet skunk". names will be drawn on monday june 21st.
