I think it“s a deep Lead.
You can use the "Tau2" VST Synth.
Its very good for this Basslines. |

Every time someone responds with one of those "don't bother doing what you're doing" answers , it counteracts one of the more thoughtful sentiments like "no question is stupid."
Is this a forum full of pros? Ok then, let the guy ask his freaking question.
Sounds to me like a plain old LP filtered saw, definitely with a fast release and little or no velocity control at all. It could also be a filtered electric bass, whether it is or not, those do sound quite good. |

Oh, another interesting point. The filters on some synths are actually too slow for fast minimal psy. A good workaround is to work in audio. Meaning, record the best single bass tone you can get, then duplicate the note and use the fade handles (assuming SX) to speed the notes up even more, and make them tighter. You can also do interesting things like time compression/expansion on these notes, which is something you can't do with the VSTi. |

last time something started a thread here about a bassline it was canceled because "there were too many bassline threads"...
it goes against the idea of trying new stuff and evolution...
ops.. just realized... skazy is from chemical crew and they are paying the bills... right...
anyway... the "don't copy and do your own thing" posts are as useless as the "me too" of some years ago.
In music no one really learns by themselfs but everyone learns with everyone else.

The reason we are closing every bassline thread is that you will post everything in existing threads.
The fact that bassline threads get closed doesn't mean you can't talk about basslines. It just means that you should read the existing threads first, most of the time you'll get your answers there. If not, just post the question in the existing thread so it will be easier to find it next time.
Locked, and use the search to post in the right thread.
