Animal and Storm albums were good. Storm already had many guitar tracks, but was different from the stuff being released back that time.
Also his first Zoo compilation was interesting, presenting Xenomorph, Wizzy Noise, Exaile, Absolum, Skazi himself, SX - Cost Me (awesome short sample from Mission Impossible, great break), Talamasca, Shiva, Lemurians. Impressive line up and cohesive sound line.

If anyone has the original please contact me (I want to buy it).

I have the orginal from his first zoo compilation but it´s not for sale .
Anyway, animal album was a big step to the psytrance scene back then, his live was samething that turn up side down a dancefloor. IMHO only Delta and GMS could achive the same level´s of dust in the air...
I feel lucky because i had that expirience and as a listenner i can say : " i saw tht i did that and i learned with that" samething i can´t say about skazi producing skills and taste improvemment along this year´s. |

I agree, nothing more than a copycat artist, he doesn't belong in that list...

ill add myself to the list......good old times with skazi and co.
eskimo is appaling...decent tracks, but his dancing show just shows that he is all appearence....pfff
my hate for skazi started at full moon 2003 or 2004....
first full moon with serious night line up....wow!!twisted music changed me.....then came skazi.....the only artist in the whole festival who played between live and dj set....3 or 4 same tracks....not even the old stuff but the new cheezy ones.....terrible!!
there is when i think the worlds divided.....popeurocheezy one side......twisted underground sound the other....
btw in that same festival there was yahel too which appeared with a marketing banner in front of the console which ruined the whole deco to show his name......ahahah
anyways...... skazi.....boom!!

man if you think animal was a milestone in changing sonorities...pffffffffffffffffff
so what about breakcore?
no, no need to go so further
kox box
skazi is a hysteric outfit.....with no soul, with no respect for what should be called music.....its just providing "mayhem" killing stuff"..
....which has nothing to do with music IMO
the only cool thing about skazy was some approach to techno caracteristics in his sounds.......before |

those albums, storm and animals, should be in a museum behind a glass.
And all the other copies burned, so nobody again can hear that stuff and intend to do something similar....and in the end producing mctrance. |

Animal was a great, innovative and original album that was a huge success at its time and still stands the test of time and is indeed part of the classic psytrance collection albums although this may sound exaggerated to some.
UNFORTUNATELY right after that album something terrible happened to Skazi and he transformed from one of the most promising artists in the scene into a joke.
The guy had huge potential, pitty for both us and him musicwise at least cause moneywise i guess he is very happy.

i think the name Skazi itself is a powerful name...i think it is one of the strongest names in music circles. it worked perfectly underground and now it blends in perfectly in the commercial realm as well. maybe the name Skazi has a lot to do with the success.
Also i feel that more than the sound people just love to say the name SKAZI out loud..
i liked his old stuff and sometimes depending on how high i am i can listen to his new stuff.

I Agree-
"Skazi" :
1. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SCSI
2. 'zokusei' which pronaunced almost exactly the same as Skazi - means in Japanese : This World / Earthly life / Secular surname
2.a. 'zokusei' also means a sort of "but" in the japanese lang. and is used ALOT!
