Single Systems
--------------
Single Systems is the energy discovered and cultivated by Detroit based producer/composers, Dave McConnell and Travis Hawthorne. The sound of Single Systems is more than the kind of beat-driven ambient music that made you fall in love with the genre back in the day, every track is a storyboard completed by the illustrations of your imagination… mesmerizing and explosive, intrepid and mysterious, the calm and the storm. Listing "silence" as a main influence - both as an inspiration and a challenge to fill - says a lot of their approach to music. They stay closely connected to the philosophy that there are certain vibrations present even when they cannot be heard and with the first note from the first instrument, each vibration both alters and inspires the next. There is boldness to this music that’s been heard in the power of Marshall stacks, the voyages of classical orchestra pits, the vitality of dance floors, and the intensity of cinemas...and its all accounted for by this infectious duo. (need i say more!)
