ok lissen up properly ....
if u have the filter effect loaded up as an Insert Effect for an Audio trk ..... click on the + sign on the lower left hand corner of the audio track , until a sub automation lane opens up .. now click where volume is written in this lane and select the parameter u want to automate by bwrsing through the inserts of the audio trk .....
similar with sends , same method .....
but if your Filter Vst is loaded as an insert on the VSti channel , u need to first go to Vst instruments folder , then find the vsti channel , again click on the + , browse to your plugin from the link and then enable R [ read mode ] the line will turn BLue ... indiciating the track is ready for automation ..... then take the pencil tool and draw some automation
or the most easiest method .....
open the plugn .. click on R and W ... both will be highlighted with green and red color ... go to transport bar .. click on record button ... track starts playing .. move the knobs u want to automate with your mouse , and then when done . stop the recording and unclick the W button on the plugin , so it becomes non highlighted ....
now in the arrange window , where all tracks are listed . right click in the emtpy area and from the menu , select .. show used automation for all tracks ... and then simply browse up or down to see your filter automation track with data on it !!

use the r and w method to get quick access to the automation track. record a quick movement, go to the project window, right click on any midi track, select "show automation for all tracks" and there you'll find the controller you just recorded a tweak. Now use the pencil tool and you're off to draw as much automation you want. |
