there is too much music that comes out because the labels try to release too much = cheesy music releases, artists try to make quantity and not quality
i remember that 3 years ago I new every track that came out and could recognize them in parties (which is way cooler to dance to)
maybe when some labels crash (not some, a lot) they will think to release less, but when they release, the music will be really good.

yea I was thinking about that as well, once I used to recognize every single track, now too much sound the same and not so unique. Oh well

yes, and u can see it also in the sales. they went really down because soo much is out.
look our stock: we have 3000 CDs/Vinyls in our system from 254 Labels!!!
1200 different CDs/Vinyls are avilable for buying.
who can hear all this music??
its just too easy to release music

its a good thing that u said it tokyokid...
since in these days u r becoming a bigger factor in the psy scene...
why u, as a big distributer... cant make some "quality check" and reduce your titles?
why u must distribute almost every title?
but to the topic
dunno whats the problem to find the labels that do deliver what u r looking for.
i know i do.

yossi i dont distribute everything. most titles are only for the online shop. belive me or not, there is a request also for the crap releases. i would be happy if i need to add only quality releases to my online shop but what can i do if ppl tell me we want this and this?
i will not mention the releases/labels by name that i mean, but most of us know them.
there is a difference between exclusive and non-exclusive releases. for sure i check everything that i take exclusive for my territory! up to now it was:

about sales
once you had smaller choise, you knew who is going to release an album, and you knew that the artist\group worked for a while to create it, now.....now tracks come and go, every week u have 15 compilations and 8 albums released. hmmm too much music? is that possible?

it is happenin - loads of music released every week.
in a way its not bad, when the quantity grows then the listeneres will also grow in numbers.
ah yes there will be an imbalance and loads of music will be released, but once it reaches the peak, then only quality will remain and rest will drain

I remember , when i was new in the scene , I used to wait for tracks like Midnight Sun , Tied up , 1300 mics , Boom Shankar and some other killer ones to put full energy on dance floor
But i think during those days .. energy around use to be too good and i believe these tracks were really good and meaningful , otherwise listening to them wouldnt give me super amazing flashbacks.
I think ,what music 1200 mics are making shall anytime make a place in your mind , connecting to your heart , and thus adding more assets of beautiful memories.
