Hey folks, i imported a hithat and would like to play with it's envelope properties, like decay, attack etc.. The thing is, im moving from fruit to cubase, in fruit i can play with those properties by the channel settings at the instrument settings.. So,in cubase, where can i find and manipulate the envelope of an audio file that i import?? Simple as that, thanks in advance! |

i recommand you to use one of the virtual samplers for this purpose, its very easy and flexible to use envelope and basic effects with sampler on percussion and groove cutted samples.
if you insist to import hihat into audio track, you can use the offline proccess of cubase.
just go to audio pool, find your file there, right click on it, and pick envelope.
if you want to envelope only one specific sound just right click on it and use envelope or use the small dots on the top of the sound (left and right) for fade in and out, or just make you own curve for them. |

Yeah, thanks a lot, thats what im using! Just one question: I hv set an out put of a midi track to battery, and im using the drum editor.. The thing is, after i did that, the mixer got 32 battery strips (one for each pair of cells from battery) but the only one been used is the first one! All the instruments goes there, so i cant control volumes for each one, or add effects just for a specific one.. just to all.. So, how can i make each instrument that i add in each cell of battery get it's own strip at the mixer? Help me with this one guys please
Thanks in advance! |

In the lower right of Battery 2 you'll find a small field with the channel number of the selected cell. Click on it to choose the channel of your desire ;-)
