Simon just said what we all feel is true i think...Psychedelic is a specific feeling and we cannot lie to ourselves and pretend that todays music is psychedelic just because it is well produced! Psychedelic music is what it is and Simon just spoke from what he felt! Respect...

I absolutely agree.
It´s not a matter of what´s right or wrong - that doesn´t exist - it´s simply a totally different energy for totally different mentalities/ personalities.

Pop Trace might be OK, but it´s not OK that Pop Trance is released as psychedelic music.
Psychedelic music, for me, is the total opposite of POP!

Skazi/ GMS/ Chicago/ 1200Mics etc. is all POP (at least nowadays - some years ago Raja Ram was extremely psychedelic, I´d even say that with TIP and Shpongle he was one of the very founder of this psychedelic thing, but now...).

It´s just incompatible.

Simon makes really great MUSIC first off all. His musical and financial success is a result of talent, experience, new ideas and LOTS of work. I dont know about everyone but me and my friends listen to his cds for years now (Hallucinogen is selling for a decade already).
I dont think that poptrance cds will be sold in 10 years...
Can't be compared.

This explains a lot about Raja Ram and his involvement in the various projects he's in. I just understood his role and because many people have been kind of bashing him(including myself) i'll change my stance immediately. Now back to the rest of the interview. This is great.           the sky was pink

Well I never tried to judge Raja to harshly... ideas are just as important as wiritng, and imagination even more so... I don;t think half the sounds from T.I.P or Shpongle would be there without Raja's insane ideas... j           --- Love In Light, Dance In Darkness ---

True most of the artists today are making crap music but Simon can never disrespect Israeli Artists like: Space Cat, Oforia, Astral Projection, MFG and many more who built the scene. Today's artists are successful becasue these old school artists paved the road. Most of them make crap music because they want to get gigs so they do what sells.           In god I trust, everybody else pay cash!!!

sound like a bunch of sluts to me... do whatever it takes to sell themselves, even if it mean giving up on being an artist... they are not artists if they do this... how many of the great painters or composers ever changed their style to fit the mainstream? most lived in poverty until fater they were dead... it is pop music, music to be popular and sell... so call it what it is... listen to what Posford said... if it is not weird and quirky like psychedelic trance was and is s'posed to be, then don't call it that.           --- Love In Light, Dance In Darkness ---

if u do sumthing wrong today it does wipe out or nulify all the rights u did in the past does it??           the problem with valuing art is, till u dont understand it, it's worthless but wen u do understand it, it's priceless!!
