Hey ppl, I have a doubt about the position of the monitors... Is it better place the monitor to have the "tweeter" or the "woofer" at the same "level" of my ears??? Can anyone understand my question??

I mean, now my monitor is placed to have the tweeter at same "level" of my ears... Maybe I need to put some books above them to make it higher... Do I need???           LOADING...

your monitors should (for best results) be the same distance apart as they are to your head and tilted at the same angle towards you, so sounds hit you at exactly the same time from each speaker in exactly the same way.

the woofer should be below you and infront of you, in between the speakers

Hope i'm right and hope this helps

Peace

Strictly speaking, sub-bass frequencies aren't perceived directionally, ie. it doesn't matter where in the room they come from. Apparently, the best way to set up a sub-woofer is to temporarily put it in your normal listening position and then put your head in all the different locations the unit could eventually end up in and see where it sounds best; that's where you should then place the sub unit.           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering

The Tweeter must be pointed in the direction of your ears. Some monitors are best when the tweeters and bass are in the same height, meaning you put the monitor on the long side. check what the manufacture recommended.           "a new art came into my mind which only you can create, the Art of Noises, the logical consequence of your marvelous innovations." youre monitors and youre haed should be all three points of an equalatiral triangle!! try to be within a meter of them to be inside the stereo field!!...now youre ears should be positioned perfectly between the tweeter and the low driver,so u should have them standing up not 0on their side!!
u will no when its all lined up right because it will just sound clean...youre room should be acousticly correct as posible, otherwise the stereo feild you be sitting may be decieving you.
i hope this help's

Good point Hayez... I forgot to mention this... My monitors are made to work with tweeters and bass on diferent height...

I can´t make many acustics improvements, so at least the height I want to be sure is right!

Thanks           LOADING...
