This is clearly a multilayer bassline. The top bass is in stereo and has some sort of bitcrushing.

nope. this bitcrushed sound is just other synth originalo bassline is just an calssic psy-trance style saw wave with lp filter. just play with amp & filter envelope.

now if something else (synth) plays the same, or similar bass notes, then everyone thinks that it must be an super advanced multilayered bassline - but its not true.
in this example it is easy to hear that           http://www.beatport.com/release/cross-the-atoms/1042450

there´s 2 plugins i hear..

first of all, there is click on bass. from e second envelope routed to filter.

second, there is phase plugin on it or Stereo plugin like voxengo phase or stereo widener..

then there is a bitcrusher on the top , that just crushes the click of the bass..

i love the sound, the grid comes from bitcrusher..

but the preset also i guess is very good made...

af course he might use some dynamic plugins, go trough all the compressors and gaters, find out!

bout the synth i dont know what he use, may be it´s sample of trilian.

i think about selling some realy good presets, but i dont know shuld i?           https://soundcloud.com/twonzero-progressive/twonezero-alienpast-soon-on

nice indeed... but i stick with the idea of possibilities and crafting sounds. if you use proper eq, distortion, audio editing, compression (considering that you are not getting bass samples of course), you can have so many nice stuff... btw this bass lacks on low end (for my taste).

xD           always learning...
