I can someone please explain to me how you sidechain with waves c1 in Sonar 8? Also, please don't tell me that I can use the compressor in sonar to sidechain, its not as tight as the Waves C1 is. I've gotten as far as having my kick and bass both mono. sending the bass to a stereo bus with the bass panned hard right, and the kick sent to another bus with the bus panned hard left. I'm actually pretty confused about it, so if anyone could help me what would be very much appreciated |

It should work that way.. try to do reverse with channels, maybe u switched by mistake them and bass compresses kick.. I avoid it cause I had exactly the same problem and I dont want to mess with routings for stereo sidechaining..

ok, well I figured out a way. have 2 mono kick tracks sending to 2 seperate buses, one panned hard left and the other panned hard right. Then having 2 mono bass tracks each one panned the opposite of the kick. Then adding 2 seperate waves comp-sc compressors to each bus. then in the compressors click the "stereo" tab and make it L/R, and the other one R/L. Making sure that when you click on the monitor sidechain tab you here the kick on both. You will then have to make one more mono kick track to play as the kick because the others are running through the bus to sidechain the bass. |

yeah its a long way I know.. But is it really worth all the struggle? Its preety time consuming and whats most important CPU consuming.. And plus that all my kick are in stereo, so I would have to convert every kick I would wont to test.. Too much, too much.. Native Ableton Sidechainer is easy as drag and drop.. However Im gonna try to make use of Sonalksis sidechainers, and Kjaerhaus, hope they are stereo SCs..
