I come from Reason, there you start trigering before you know what LP12 is ...
You just triger and triger everything with everything ...

What other VST plugins can I sidechain/triger ? I mean parameters like cutoff; mod depth/rate; pan ...

Reason 3 has a new MClass Compressor with sidechain inputs on the rear side and "solo sidechain" button on the front panel. There are 2 ways 2 use this feature.

1. DUCKING

- Connect bass signal to the compressor input and compressor output to mixer (or other devices that u want 2 use before sending the signal 2 mixer) the same way as u would do for standard compression.
- Now split the kick (or any other) signal with audio spliter and connect one to the saidchain input of the MClass comp. Note that the red light on the sidechain button now indicates that the SC signal is connected.
- The thing works like this: Once kick signal reachesh the treshold par. compressor will duck the bass signal. To make this ducking frequency sensitive you can connect an EQ on the splited kick signal before the SC compressor and add gain 2 frequencyes that you want 2 compress more or lower the gain on frequencyes that you don't want 2 be affected by SC.

2. You can split any signal in 2 and connect them the same way like in example 1. One signal 2 compressor IN and other signal 2 EQ and than to sidechain input. Now the EQ-ing is beeing handled by compressor and (unlike EQ-ing) none of the frequencyes from original signal are beeing lost. The signal remains complete but with different amount of compression on certain frequencyes.

This technique can provide really greate resaults. In fact... i don't know how i could live without it so far

ps: sidechain CAN NOT trigger any other parametars except sidechain
