eh? I just use the Logic compressor to sidechain Maschine, as I would any other source.
Just slap a compressor in sidechain mode at the end of the signal chain of the channel.

thought that,
maschine cant support sidechaining
so was just wondering if there were better plugs than twisted lemon sidekick that have their own internal bus as this seems to have got round this |

there is a thread from colin about sc with midi gate and phase inverse, best way imo, no crappy compressor involved and very precise. set up a send channel, phase inverse the signal and trigger it with a midi note on 1,2,3,4 and you are done

with phase invert you cancel the sound, a compressor add mouvment ,not sure the same results are possible ? |

cheers but these are more for ducking effect.
whearas im just looking to clean up the mix inside maschine
im basically trying just use machine as my only live daw
(so to speak)and im struggling

and how do you like it as a daw for everyhting? it sure have big potential for live. but i think i would use it first with a other daw, then work on a live with it. |

got rid of my mouse to try and force myself to become more fluid in it
love it
a few things need sorting , but its got legs
once you get into the habit of storing your presets into the shitty database structure
it quite instant
love the fact that in step mode each control thats assigned is editable per step
nut yeah, sidechainig, proper midi control, visivle form of some sort of metering
and the ability to stream audio inside
would be cool,and a less "dancier" headroom
i use it in standalone for the more glitchy random stuff, |

I love the shitty database! It took me a little while to get things organized the way I prefer but once I was done, the results are super instant.
