I´m using the sidechain in my kick/bassline...with really good results!!!!

Still i noticed that you have sidechain both in Filter and Compressor (local effects)!!!

Can someone tell me if they actually do the same thing or not? It kind sounds the same but im not sure...

Yep they pretty much do the same thing. What the one on the filter does means that when for instance a kick hits the flter will activate/ deactivate. i can't explain it very well but theres a really good video that explains both and gives some preset ideas on the ableton website:

can get some nice effects out of it, really good for house, not really tried it in psytrance.

Iv'e used it for quite sometime now,and its a really sweet feature ,but sidechain more than just kick and bass with it

Live native compressor are great for saving cpu power but I tend to replace them in the final mixdown..
Can someone explain how to sidechain C1 in live? Ive seen some tutorials but method is pretty complicated, maybe theres better way to do it..

Come on ppl, why I cant use Weves, Sonalksis compressors and stuff like that? I dont have that Track in 3/4 option when I use them.. I can use this free SC comp but thats not what I want

Thanks for the effort, u solved the mistery.. Like it says in tutorial, Waves C1 doesnt support stereo sidechaining, no wonder I couldnt get it to work.. I think Ill use another compressor that supports stereo input.. Theres no use of using two compressors no matter how good they are when I can use one.. dont wanna complicate things too much..
