so thing is, i sidechain sending my kick panned left to a group track, i output my bass panned right to the same grouptrack as the kick is send to. using waves c1 comp sc working in key mode L > R - it works perfect, but when making insert FX on the grouptrack, only the bassline is affected, so now i can't seem to find any other way of making a VST on both kick and bassline, than inserting on masterchannel - wich is not a durable solution, and making the same plugin on kick separate and bass separate also sucks really much, so how can i keep my nice sidechain, and be able to use insert plugins in realtime?

thx astrotec, that might work better, i'll try it out.
Subconsciousmind, yes i can send the group to another, but it's the same, on the new group i'm sending to i get the same result, only bassline is affected =/

i think it must have something to do with waves comp sc is not passing the kicks signal throug, i think kick is only used for processing bassline's compression, and bassline is the only thing that the grouptrack outputs. Then the kick is just sent to master out from its original track.
i really need to make it work so i can make inserts on both signals at one time

yes, you can send a group to another group, but the target group has to be "newer" than the source group (i.e. create the source group, then create the target group, "downstream sending"). that's steinbergs way of avoiding internal feedback loops. hope they will get it in the near future

just thought about this, should work if both the kick and the group on which you have c1 sc on, are routed to the same group that has your insert FX on it.
the output of the sidechain group is only going to be the sidechained bass signal. your kick is still going out through your masterbus. |

nice idea!
so i send another signal from the original kick to a new group, and also the sidechain groups output. yes, that has to work!
