from finland i would mention for example:

-mandala vandalz: hong kong knight life
-eraser vs. yöjalka: round1 and tarinat
-haltya track "twisturbed fokn manmal"
-some pelinpala material from "my cd has landed..."
if these don't do the job, you're too far

Ka-SoL - Earth was released 1999 on Docklands Records as the first track on on the compilation named 'Docklands - A state of mind vol.2'. Some Discogs info: http://www.discogs.com/release/27919
I don't know where you can get it retail in an outlet, but since your'e norwegian you're probably familiar with Mandarin.nu? Check out http://www.mandarin.nu and ask in our forums there if someone got a copy to sell for you. There's been a few topics there before about this subject actually, and all of the posters (including me!) have recieved help gettin' their hands on a copy of this superb stuff. There's someone there who got a bunch of copies in their home since the release, can't remember who tho... Good luck! |

I don't understand why people think that so called 'dark psy' is crazy. In the words of Tyler Durden: "sticking feathers up your butt does not make you a chicken".
You want sick, twisted, evil music - psytrance is the wrong genre for it. Industrial music (Dissecting Table, Coil, Nurse With Wound, etc) is just violently psychotic at times. The only music in psytrance which works outside the borders of sanity comes out of Finland nowadays, and it's usually much happier than the dark stuff you seem to like.

kaz: Who are you to judge what's right or wrong in psytrance? Once upon a time I thought that psytrance was THE genre where you did not want all these rules about what's right and wrong. There will always be multiple expressions from one "style" comin' wether you like it or not. Perhaps I missunderstood your post, and if so I'm sorry.
It's a highly subjective thing in my humble opinion, when it all comes around. The nowdays dark maniac psytrance is for me more crazy, since it can make my head so tired that I do not wish to hear "music" nor anything else who makes a sound for at least a couple of hours! And oh I still like it Beam me up scotty!
The most twisted music throughout the years in my humble opinion, comes from Twisted Records. A bit clichéstyled, but yep! Dementertainment is one maaad compilation! Definitely the most played one I got in my collection. |
