nice ideas thanks bro! il widen the BP, try a formant filter but its an fm patch so i dont know how to add a voice.
what do you mean by more pitch mod? a more noticeable portamento?

I think it's more than just one sound. To me it seems that what you created is one layer but there are several. If possible, try putting the freqshift efx and BP-filter modulation (slow LFO?) on another similar sound (the same synth, almost the same patch)with an LP filter following the same modulation. Doesn't look easy but this is a deep and complex sound.
