Hello people I just got the waldorf attack and I really love it.. Earlier I used to create my beats in fruity loops and I would allways add a little shuffle to make it sound more groovy. Now does any one know if there is any shuffle function in cubase or if there is some plugin that can fix this? I really want to keep the housy feel on my beats :) thanx in advance :) |

Now you see how Fruity Confuses the real music makin! :)
kiddin sorry...
anyways - You should ask yourself - WHAT THA HELL IS SHUFFLE?!
it just plays the sample a little bit off beat - because fruity is going 4/4, and you wouled like some 3/8 add in it - you do some shuffle.
In Cubase or Logic.... or as in any sequencer - even in the Fruity Sequencer, you can place your Hihats or whatever not on every 1/16 beat but move it to fit 1/32 and even 1/64 :)
like - moving the sample a bit OFF beat :)
Damn - this doesn't sound very much of an explanation ey? well you try to exaplain!

another tip: i also suggest you not to draw the notes of drums, but to use controller keyboard and press keys - this way you get different velocity - if you press faster, the note plays louder, like in real drum ... btw, welcome to the real world, not the world of "photorealistic graphics" sound but of the "acoustically perfect" sound

In the piano roll, use have the snap and quantize thing on top. Choose how much you wanna move it, and just drag the note around. |
