Really weird choice by simon. Irving? Live Nataion? He could play anywhere he wanted to if he felt like naming the right price, everyone would want to bring him out. I was at the Tsunami Shpongle 3 release party and he was great but I would love to see him in a more intimate setting like at a smaller outdoor festival. I think that would be real nice. C'mon Simon!!! Shpongle Rocks!!! |

He's been touring the US a lot the last year, and makes it to many random cities. Just spreading the love. He usually does a Live Hallucinogen/DJ Shpongle set. Cant do Shpongle live without Raja...

i've seen a couple of his dj sets the past year, he actually does have some new material which i must say is awesome. But alot of it is the same, but if you want to hear some nice cool shpongle tunes i reccommend seeing it. |

+1 on beware the tree-thuggers
damn kids these days... one day they are dissing psytrance ("trance is wack") and the next day they are booking OTT and hyping twisted records ("UK fame")... |

treehuggerz are applied to alot of jamtronica bands. i must admit i am part of the scene known as the treethuggerz but i am far from one. i see the disco biscuits alot, alot of fans hate on posford and psytrance yet the acts always get booked by the disco biscuits management, why? because its amazing music! some get it some don't, i try to convert friends here and there to the darkpsyde. |

I have been getting booked to play with some of these jam electronic bands and after parties lately ... I recently started playing GlitchHop, DubStep,PsyBreaks Fusion .. GlitchMob , bassnecter , Vibsquad , Heyoka type of stuff....
It does seem to be the Disco Biscuits and sts9 promoters really pushing for the underground Psychill/Dub/Glitch Fusion from UK and West Coast.. There are a lot of people getting into it and the promoters see $$ .... Hence , the blowup of music, Like Ott and Shpongle are getting into the U.S. mainstream..
I am playing with Ott this weekend and possibly Shpongle in May here in Asheville,NC , which is a very small town.. (with a lot of hippies ) I assume we will see a lot more of this in the coming years ..
I am glad that these artist's are getting the recognition in the U.S. they deserve for there amazing psychedelic music !!!!
But yeah , the crowds are a bit thuggish ruggish !!!!!!! |
