twisted is one kickass label that's for sure! twisted is one mysterious label aswell. no one knows for sure what's going on with prometheus' "robot-o-chan" release date, nor does anyone know if this one will ever be released or not. anyways it did take some serious ebaying but i did finally manage to catch it, so I'VE FUCKING GOT IT!
there's been a big hype in the elitist euro-trash-ibiza-mtv-homo trance circles about the dorset perception remix. sasha is callin' it the tune of the year and i guess the other rich lamers are diggin' it aswell. me, personally, i prefer the original. i mean, what exactly did "lo step" do besides added the breakbeats on top of everything? nothing? so, it's nothing new, could easily be done by pretty much anyone, but hey, publicity is never bad..
but that's not the reason i bought this one. i had to hear "beija flor", after all it'll be in shpongle's 3rd studio album. i must say that it fuckin' owns! it pretty much follows "tales of the inexpressible's" style, and that's.. GREAT! we've got tight guitars, some guys singin' "beija flor", killer vocoders, michele's (i presume) manipulated voice, and some transformers soundin' robot chants.. there's also a gong! that jazzy bassline, it's very very fat. russian sound thingies, psychadelic noises all around the creation.. i must say that it's one of my very fav shpongle tunes this far..
the endin' of the track is so so so HAPPY. impossible to feel like shit after hearin' it..
..the review is crappy but the 12" is pure platinum! ..the b-side anyways

here in Brazil we put a special object with water and sugar fixed on the wall... and this bird, "beija-flor" appears to drink the suggar-water... they're beatiful... in English beija-flor is "kiss-flower"
just can't wait to hear the track!

Beija Flor really is quite an amazing little story... you're right - can't feel bad after the feel of that bass and those pretty guitars... here's a song I get stuck in my head a fair amount of the time and I don't mind it at all...
