what really confuses me is, when did the Shpongle boys EVER claim that every sample they used was original or that every synth sound was programmed by from scratch on a 30-year-old synth? I mean, I own all three albums on vinyl and I've inspected them pretty thoroughly, and I haven't seen the sticker that says, "WE RECORDED EVERY SINGLE VOCAL OURSELVES AT GREAT PERSONAL PERIL IN THE WILD HINTERLANDS OF TIBET, BANGLADESH AND MOZAMBIQUE"
Some of them, they made themselves. Others came from sample cd's, and they never, ever, claimed otherwise. Any assumptions you made to the contrary are just that: assumptions.

That Simon Posford had better damn well put together his next album out of carefully mixed component sine waves, or I'm not buying it
