its cause all those kids are mad into hip hop. dreadie skater kids with sideways hats and hoodies. and jam bands are all about every kind of music no matter what it is. This is definitely a psychedelic even. The biscuits are super psychedelic.

i heard the orb in 94 , it was a weird scene then too--
at great woods, in mass.
porno for pyros, meat beat, dee-lite, orb at sunset melted my young mind so delicously
plus, sun ra arkestra, !!! a fire dancer on stilts caught on fire during porno for pyros set! never forget that moment.

i can only hope that the kids today could have such an experience. that set me off on a journey that i am on still today.
it might be funny to think that orb and nas would play together, but that might be d0p3. the orb need a bit of shaking up imho hope they are tearing it up these days instead of just playing u.f.off still 
and
at least with hats sideways one could SEE more.
as for raja, hes a nut, just put him front and center and put the lights on him.

I really never wanted to go to camp bisco but I guess this lineup has changed my mind. I really don't want to have to deal with all the fippies and treethuggerz but what can I say, I really like shpongle and twisted, flying lotus, the orb, etc...
also nate it's not so much hippies co-opting psy but more bisco kids co-opting psy, as that scene is notoriously notoriously sketchy. |
