Hello , Last cpl of weeks ive been listening to my friend making some live mixes while he was streaming it out thru Shoutcast .
I kinda got hot on this idea , and wanted to do this ,
He said it requires a "not" changing" IP and 2 soundcards .
And well i have them both , i am just so confused over the information on the shoutcast web , dont now where or what to install and write .
If any of you have a little experience with this , would be very nice with some help .

I don't think you can use 2 diff sound cards with Traktor. You need one with multiple outs. If you plan to use 1 output for monitoring and 1 output for broadcast.

i ve benn tring to do this with traktor aand shoutcast ,, but the shoutcast input doesnt seem to recognizze my souncard ( i have an echoi indigo dj) it just doesnt inout the sound ,,,, any idea whyy??

Well , In the shoutcast menu of the Winamp part , In the output , u ( I ) have the choice of winamp ( recommended ) Input, and my soundcard Input ( waveterminal 192 L )
The trick for me was to put it on the LIne Input Both in winamp and then in your soundcard . ( I can say that i also have a small mixer in this configuration , so maybe thats why i have to do it this way ) .
But now im streaming , and Only thing i need to know , is it unlegal to be playing anything else than my own music . ( I dont front it public , so im not on any public radio list ) Only have the listeners that i send the link ?

i wouldn't bother so much about these 'legal-or-not' issues... after all you are not making any profit from it, do you?

The new version 2.6 can connect to a Shoutcast server direclty, also has facility for another Analog channel (ie mic or line in input). I upgraded, so far, so good no problems. |

Cool , ill will check a demo of the new version
And when i find out how i divide into more bandwith streaming posibilities , i will supply a link for those interested , we will mostly be playing music from the house ( virus tekk )
