to post a party that celebrates 10 years after Astral Phoenix was launched? Fatali is headlining, which i consider one of the most talented artist in the world (from Israel/BNE), yet i don't feel any reason to post the details of the party! Astral Phoenix has always promoted from it's conception the israeli style trance vibe (from 1997). However, after seeing commercial ad's on this site (including on my last thread) i'm really turned off from posting here again. Even though Israeli labels have veered off into promoting their arists/music into top 100 DJ commerciallsim, should i have too swallow it? |

Its evolution and theres nothing you can do... Just promote them to break even or profit or to have fun either way you have to join the game if you wanna play well i think....
I was talking with some mates over from mexico and they were telling me theres almost no way they would book people except from hommega and compact because this guys promote themselves as ARTISTs and are well know in the South American market, and they dont came to this forum complainig about x not paying them for a track or watever you know....
Professionalism is the word and of course with professionalism theres also some comercialism but hey you can still have a professional underground scene if i make myself clear.....
In the end you really should post it and period....

Mike, we already explained that ads are shown only to those who are logged out. I cannot convince you posting or not posting here. We never asked even to put our URL on any flyer. This time we decided that we need our own server and may be some more to let our visitors have better experience.
We promoted everyone and everything for 10 years, I don't see any problem with ads and earning some small money to cover our expenses. I am sure that everyone will only earn from this change.Put avatar and post a party topic ;-)
And for the ads, it will be keept for logged-out people.
I may rise, but I won't shine ... |

I suppose if you are running your parties as an anarcho-collective - then fair call about the evil's of capitalism, if not - well c'est la vie....
In more general terms - Pys trance has always had a very strange & complex attitude to money which would no doubt warrant a very long thread if anyone could be bothered... |

Since all the israeli labels email me with 20 mails each day for their upcoming releases and artists news and live events then i guess that its ok,even according to "israeli style trance vibe" standards,to post your party in a website that uses ads (for its not registered members ONLY) in order to stay alive.
Come on guys get serious please.
