I do know people like that though DH. I know that people know someone who you try to sugar coat things with about changing something, and they don't, so you have to get up in their face about it and be very blunt. I haven't had a case where this was related to music, but I have for other things, so I know there are people out there who will only get a message if you present your viewpoint in a blunt and basically mean way.

Music is not like other things though, its extremely personal. Its not something you do for others, its something you do for your self. So in all that renders the whole HAVE to change anything, irrelevant.

I was more pointing to the fact that there are different ways you have to tell someone something to get your point across. Saying "well some of it was good, but here's what you should fix" can be interpreted quite differently from someone who is interested in improving their skills compared to someone who is delusional about their talent.

As per the american idol analogy- I think simon on the show is great and that's how a lot of those people who have nails on a chalkboard voices need to be told how they sound. Everyone is different, so is their interpretation of criticisms given about their art.           http://soundcloud.com/ascensionsound

Simon is purposely being a cunt to get the ratings up though. And the world loves that shit. Similar to isratrance...when someone is being a cunt, you see pages and pages of dribble. Just look up on all of Moki's threads

Its a free world we live in. I'd be a cunt to say for example Axis shouldn't produce any music just because I don't like it, even if it made him happy and a better person, innit.

I guess I had made a lame joke back there, and/or nobody got it. Probably the former, though.

Haha very true. But, I see it as, who are the people surrounding the person with the terrible voice that allowed them to get humiliated on national tv? Maybe some people told them they weren't that good before they went on, but the singer didn't take them seriously and got their feelings really hurt. I think being able to be a dick to someone can be part of being a good friend.

Yes, everyone should make music...
Not everyone should listen to this music though.
I have heared a lot of music that I dident understand but that doesent make it bad just not my style.(most edm, noize, dubstep)
As a whole the human kind would benifit from all humans knowing how to make music.
Music making is good for the soul...
A healthy soul is a happy soul and not one who wants to rob a 7elleven for crack money.
