thx for the info jabba but,
I wasnt talkin abt Shivas avatar, was just curious coz our galaxy also looks like the sudharshan chakra n Vishu who holds the chakra which was given to him by shiv(if not mistaken) so is it the galaxy he holds.
n also the nebulas esp helix the closet planetary nebula, looks like an eye watching us. i m not a big believer in any religion or gods but just inquisitive n curious abt hindu mythology.
My question is it co related or anywher in the hindu mythology its mentioned about this. coz m sure that the hindu myth was written before we came to know how our universe looked like.is it?
Ps: if u hve any idea plz let me knw, or u can let me know wot u think abt it.
& @ formetrius.. ??? u wanna ask something.
even m confused.

I searched a bit on the net,very briefly though,but could not find anything,and it does not sound familiar.
My guess would be that there are no connection between them,although nothing is impossible.

some says. that this lore stories. are based upon the stars.
the greaks. interepreted the sky. and created the greak mythology.
the mayans also did that.
...and these ppl that "saw" the sky. problabli didnt see what we see today...
... maybe the hindus did the same. and this galaxy that we see now tru digital telescope. it was an interepretation of their myths....

the connection is, the connection you make, your perception will mould your own reality , so if u see a resemblence there, then it is there.
most of ancient texts from india hold lots of esotoric messages, so the sudarshan chakra may have more than 1 meaning, and about the nebule, there are detailed descriptions of the weird weird objects within our universe described in the vedas,description gievn by maharishis, but most of it is lost, and only a few veds remain.

-- minus , would my perception mould the reality of the universe? i read and spent some days watching n reading about the astrology-astronomy connections. still got my doubts, made a new topic,if u guys cld chk it out.

and instead of studing the sky ( outside ) we could ALSO study the INSIDE and we would get the same results...

your perception will mould the universe for you yes. this is a scientific fact, proved by the "wave particle duality", if you dont know about it, google it, the "double slit screen experiment" defines it clearly, that photons or for the fact matter at the quantum level can either behave like a particle, or like a wave, the outcome is co related to the instruments used to observe. hence perception, basiclly reality will become what you want it to become.or the observer becomes the observed.
