i am vey suprised this album hasnt been reviewd thus far..i planned this out a long time ago but then jes procastinated..saw the forum today and was pleastly shocked so i decided to make a go myself....but wonder how many have given it a listen??? lemme know

To be honest I heard about this particular album quite a while ago…and the first thing that hit my head was…shiva…new album!!! And his style is soo very different from the breed of artists today so this would be an interesting wait to hear it….well time passed and the album is finally out…

http://212.227.206.198/cgi-bin/zoom.cgi?ssj1cd006_b.jpg:CDs/ssj/ssj1cd006.html:;

not really a big fan of this cover…actually don’t like it too much…the cover imho should have been a lil better…...wouldnt have hurt to put in a little more effort into the cover don’t you think…but I guess this one will do

lets get started with the review:

1)Shiva And Guy-Go To School

The track starts off with a vocal of shiva and guy which in the beginning had totally put me off..i was like…why was that necessary…but then…realized that it must have been made simple for fun to add something different into the track…the vocals keep coming about the track n stuff…in the beginning u will hear them clearly…but then u wont bother after 2-3 listens…the background gets into this amazingly weird melody by the 2nd minute…its very tingling to say the least…the track gets into a good feel from then on..and there r quite a lot of breaks n stuff…which make the track sound nice…the part around the 4th minute is well constructed… the track kinda falls to a slow part and it says”now comes the break” you certainly expect a banger….and it IS!!!!!! It has this awesome feel back into the track…surely a track to go mad when its playing a party…great way to start off an album. (9/10)

2)Electricshiva Universe-You Got To Go To Goa

This one again starts with a sample..but I reckon its about goa so it goes with the track name which is really interesting btw…track starts off normally…you kinda do sense a feelin that this is not ur run off the mill track..it has got something very well knitted into it…the tune is very very stretched sort of and the guitar riffs comin on and off and fading from one speaker to another..jes brighten up any situation…at the 2nd minute onwards the tracks is running with the guitar riffs and a lot of background initial work….superb..and again well we have the vocal sample…not the best of samples but then it works…sure will on the floor too.the part at the 4th minute is surely a stomper very very wel put across..good work there…overall a very nice track..wasnt a favourite when I first heard it but now one of my picks of the album.(9/10)

3) Broken Shiva Toy – Skrachfunk

haha again a killer name this time it’s the artist..i really like this concept of this album when 2 artists combine I like the way joerg has put the name across really impressive..liked it the first time I saw the name on psyshop itself…well the track was my favourite track right from the start..good start…weird sample but nice work there very “stretched” stuff again…but definitely good work…good intro of the bass..sounds pretty cool…u get the feel this will be an energy grabber…well it sure is…the track keeps changing the flow but everything still fitting in pretty well…vocals make it sound a lil chirpy but then the track Is all seamlessly flown into and is kinda almost perfect at any time to hear..the synths r very well used at about the 4th minute to give out a smasher and then to follow up a little later on at the 4:30 the track dies down as tho theres been a power failure but then the slow tune is wonderful great feel to the track and then its back on track for some more unleashing energy..good track this one…hear it for sure…! (9/10)

4) Shiva – Damaged

well this track is the first one on the album done solely by shiva(joerg) it somehow reminds me of well lets see…I guess skazi-element…only the start part mind you the way it starts…then this tune starts off which in my words in unexplainable very strange tune but totally catchy. The tune starts to become the foreground and it keeps twisting and turning and so does ur head hehe…it’s a well made track..the part at 3:49 is totall MADNESS makes u wanna step outaa ur chair n start them legs moving ….the track just keeps getting better..with that weird tune playin on and on…with breaks here and there…a very Damaging track (8.5/10)

5) Shiva – Slick Shit Killer

Again starts of with a sample..thats been the most constant thing of the album thus far..but in this album the samples only get to you on the first hear..from then on u really wont mind it..this is a pretty decent track from the start itself…goes on pretty well….good tweeks here and there in the middle and vocals a usual and then the track is back to its form causing some serious rampage..very decently made track not the best on the album but worth hearing…totally…(7/10)

6) Shiva- The Destroyer

well that’s what the original shiva is isn’t he(the hindu mythology god I mean)…theres some sort of dark side to this track but the energy is very visible and it keeps on going strong…the track takes totally different directions with the hard knocking bass and keeps coming back to the same sounds …some nice feels keep grooving into the track by the time the track is around 4:30..the track still is going on pretty strong…this track is somewhat like one track I used to listen to pretty frequently…cant get the name from the top of my head rite now…but is a pretty good track..(7/10)

7) The Shiva Azax Syndrom – Pleshures Of Flesh

simple azax start to this track u can totally make out its an azax track..it has all the perfect azax ingredeients..but hey whose complaining??...sounds somewhat like hagigat at times but is very unique in its own way…I thk these 2 artists really compliment each other…genius of psychedelic minds on each head so we have a smasher…the track takes on all sorts of formats but is killing you all throughout…the break beat at about the middle of the 5th minute is really nice..and the track breaks open into a more intense track from there on …a very nice track…good mix of artists on this one imo..(9/10)

8) Shiva – Red Dwarf

this is quite a simple track..atleast that’s the kind of feeling u get when it stats…simple swishes here and there…but it keeps on improving as you go along..good work on it from the 3rd minute on keeps the energy pumping.,..by the middle of the 4th minute its gathered out quite a lot of power to blow down a huge amount of energy the beats seem to keep getting better with a better tune for the outcome..the track is much better than u expect it to be in the start..quite a likeable track this one..(7/10)

9) Shiva – The Pagan Move

it was a pretty good idea to put a slower track into the album and the one put into this album was a really good one in my opinion I liked this track rite from the first time I heard it.. even tho am not a big follower of slow track this one really made me change my opininon…I like this track a lot now..all very sweet melodies churned into a single track nice flow..keeps you going on…very good track this one…(8/10)

I bought this album unheard. At first it seems a bit simple and agressive, but this is "shiva" (destruction) music after all. Great album with old skool feelings.

(I miss Shiva Shidapu and Jorg on Mushroom)

7/10

The cover/artwork isn't realy that good. Kinda weird and strange in a *what tha F..?" way. But the inside artwork is beautiful and comforting. I've owned this album for a while now, and it's not better then last time, but deffently not worse. good Shiva vibed album
