well there i was spinning my virtual knobs and tweaking my also virtual levers and shit, messing around with the sequencer and listening to the same loop for 901328039218 times... and i feel weird now... i feel good i can't sotp smmiling.. and the thing is my track sux.. so wtf is going on?
i knew this music has some power in it... and i sure hope i succeeded in throwing in some of it into to my sucky or maybe not SO SUCKY track!!!

Well, from a medical point of view, the reason we like certain things is because certain chemicals in the brain, like "dopamine" and "serotonin" are being secreted(created), when we do something which causes us pleasure, (eat, sex, etc...). And these chemicals, especially serotonin affect our mood, and if there's a lot in the brain, we become happy. Cocaine, by the way, elevates "Dopamine" levels in the brain, and thus the effects of cocaine... Amphetamine(speed), also does this.
So basically, this particular track, caused you a lot of pleasure, and so, that's why you might feel "high", because you probably are. What you did is what drugs do, but in a different manner.

Ron - it happens all the time, that's why people make music (at least, that's why I do it), because they enjoy the music, and creating it is sooooo fun.
Even when the track stinks (and god knows I made a few of those :)). |
