Hi,
I want to buy 2 cdjs, but the price here is very expensive (about 660$ for each cdj).

I saw that you can buy them online for 300$ each... the question is shipping and tax.

I guess the sites will show me the shipping cost but will I have to pay tax here as well? I heard something about 45% tax + 18% VAT

So, basically I'm asking if anyone here ever ordered a cdj from an online store to Israel (and if you did, please post the site)

Try to ask the seller, i.e. by mail.

They can tell you maybe something about shipping to israel.

sure you have meches.
you have to pay smth like 40 to 50 precent
for bringing it from abroad and ma'am.. im
not sure about it but i thing also 18%...

so after all it will cost you a bit cheaper to do all this, but then you end up with hardware which if u have a problem u have to send it to other countries and so on.... not worth it IMHO!

another option is just flying to a 'cheap' country and buy it there and bring it here
when nobody notice

just kidding... =]

Well, 10x to Bibi the custom is now down to something like 15% I think...
Anyway, just checked the custom site and according to them the value of 2 cdjs are 558$ (2498 NIS) and the custom for that (including VAT) is 199$(892 NIS).
(you search for everything you want to bring and calculate the custom for it here: http://147.237.72.32/Y_ISHI/ - very usefull)
I found a site that sells 2 new cdjs for 639$ (including shipping to Israel) +199$ for custom and VAT comes out to 838$ (around 3800NIS).

All in all it sounds like a good deal (the cheapest I found here was 5500NIS for 2)...
Do you think I'm missing something?           Mighty Fat Records

I don't want to buy used cdjs.... only found 2 offers on Ebay and they were both used.

I also checked the custom site and that is where I got the prices (see the URL I posted).... even if you buy it from Ebay you will still need to pay the custom and VAT for it           Mighty Fat Records

I got my cdj 500's from e-bay and when it got here they took 60% mehes!!!
but even so it was worth it cause two cdj's plus a case cost me 400$......
the trick is to get a really good deal so the mehes cant hurt you too bad.

why not get the seller to label the package as much lower value ? Then you dont need to pay (so much) taxes.. Or just tell them to label it 20Euro, broken player.

What Kriz said, a certain online store did that for me when I was living abroad and brought bulk cd orders.           I hate you, you hate me, we are all so hap hap happy!
