Hi

Can anyone point me in the general direction of how the SA people get those huge metallic leads? Is there a particular synth that specializes in this stuff? I don't want to copy, but I would like to know how it's done.

i definetly hear alot of vanguard PRESETS in SA stuff... artifakt at the other hand,,,, i donno

hmmm i heard shift uses reason for his synths but i dont know for sure.
and try the preset on the korg legacy cell called awaken sign, put some high pass filter on it, and its pretty similar to alot of synths used in SA hehe

the metallic sounds are actually made with giant tesla coils which we have stolen from eskom (hence the power crisis in the country)

I hope to god everyone and their dog starts using this preset that artists will finally realize how sad and overused it is. I cringe everytime I hear it on a released track, even by some very big producers.
