hey was thinkin of pickin up one of these beasts to use with some analog synths..wanted to know if any psytrance producers using these...
specifically is it just good for noise and distortion or can it behave nicely aswell?

im using it, its crazy and very fat, if you like strange stuff this is the thing... check out the track "the junkies orchestra" at my myspace, most sounds processed through the sherman..

cool track man.like some weirdo art film background score...could definately hear some sherman in there but used very musically....good stuff!
Yeh i like unique sound producing/mangling hardware , which is what attracted me to the filterbank...im actually selling my virus ti so i can get this and something else...so i hope its gonna be worth it!
I have a software version made in reaktor which is also very cool but i hear the real thing is much more violent...

wowwwww you didnt mention your gonna sell a virus for it... your gonna sell a synth that does everything in very good quality for something very specific!! the sherman is amazing for what it does but its just a filter (though a very complex one)... i take the virus over it everyday but it really depends if your a virus guy... anyway good luck!!

well i actually really like it but I recently got a moog voyager old school that cost only a little bit more than the virus....and what can i say...a moogs a moog....hehe...the analog sound has just sold me...so i want to build a kickass analog rig around it that i can control using CV signals...with the money i can get from the virus(Ti2) i can pick up the filterbank and the re-released Oberheim SEM which is like a little semi modular in a box..so since all these things use CV they will integrate perfectly with the voyager...
...but hopefully ill sell the virus to a close friend so i can use it as if it was mine hehe...
