So this is another one of my old tunes that I decided to redo. Whatever I had was kind of too repetitive. And I've been listening to a lot of idm and glitch lately. So I've decided to add some textures to it to spice it up. I've been working a lot on this tune lately and starting to burn out on it and losing perspective. So some feedback would be appreciated. Particularly, on the balance between K&B, percussion, and leads.

I like the solid baseline. It reminds me of aes dana, always keeping a solid baseline in his ambient.
The melody could perhaps progress a little more from 49sec to 2.10
I enjoy the glitched up percs, but you could glitch it up even more(or more frequent). Kick, base, atmo and lead is good but more perc could be nice.

very cool mate, the synth that comes in at 3.06 is very nice. oh wow 4.07 reminds me of shpongle, i think the crash leading into that section needs to be louder tho, cuz its echoey and cool, but barely audible. cool song!

thanks for the feedback, guys.
@grevinsky even more glitchy? haha. i thought i already kind of went over board. kind of easy to overdo. well, maybe not that easy, since it took forever to generate textures i was happy with. and then cutting up the little pieces and moving them a ms here, a ms there. i was really into it for a while, but started getting burned out on doing it. the more i was doing it, the more picking up the guitar and recording some spacey jams instead became appealing.

Wow this is cool!! Really digging the melodies and progressions, as well as glitch sounds.
Only suggestion is bring some of those background sounds more to the foreground, but keep them out of the way of the melodies. They're cool and need to be bigger imo. Check out a widener called Sindo if you don't already have it, its free.

yeah, i agree. they definitely can be more upfront, especially in the first third of the track, before the synths really start taking over the spectrum. i'll check out Sindo too. i know this is one of my weaknesses and i haven't yet spent much time on learning how to improve the usage of the stereo stage and just making things wider in general.
@Equilizyme, i have mixed feelings about those crashes. they are a perfect tool to mark beginning of new sections and things sound weird without them. at the same time, i don't want them to really stick out in the way they can be in more energetic styles of music. i don't know, maybe it's just a reaction to hearing really loud crashes in some chill tracks i was listening to recently, which just turned me off on otherwise very nice tunes. i need to play around with that.
