Hey guys, it is no question we all love the classic 303 sound whether it be for basslines or for screaming acidlines.
Share your recipes!
I'll start.
For leads I'll use AudioRealism Bassline2, a little bit of delay, run through the D16 Devastor Distortion plug-in.
Also I use D16 Phosycon and some delay.

always go phoscyon myself.
Generally prefer to smack it through some harsh guitar stomp sims for distortion, and some vintage channel emulations.
Big fan of phasers on 303's - envelope or time controlled ones, from big and wobbly to slowly thin and notchy.
Never go near the onboard sequencer (in any plugin).
Don't forget the accent!
My basic 303 signal chain is:
EQ
Stomp Sim
Channel Sim
Phaser OR Chorus OR Doubler
EQ
Delay
Reverb
In fact, less the stomp sim, that is my basic insert chain for nearly every lead!
303's are difficult to mix well, IMO. Good luck. .

im not giving the alien 303 a bad review.
but i'm definitely not a fan.
i found myself very limited with it. almost the same as like some producers find themselves limited by never playing a kick and bass at the same time.
you have more control with just about any other mainstream synth.

Syntecno Teebee with distortion.
And hopefully soon I'll finish building my Oakley TM3030.

my experience is all good synths work well for acid line with a distortion behind but its not really the 303 sound . |

Nice suggestions guys! Fart into a mic..? haha. Well, I will bet my life any possible sound you could record you could turn into something very psychedelic =p
I will try some of these.. as for Alien303 getting a bad rap.. it's leads I have to say aren't very nice.. but for basslines it's very good if used well.
