						| The last Shaolin Wooden Men album wasn't really trance- more psychedelic wierd rock surf music. I'll try asking around for you.

I had a chance to listen there new one. Very amazing very heavy psychedelic
but alot more variety than there last album. Plus the production or the
sound is even cleaner even though it hasn't been mastered yet. I don't know
when it'll be released, also coming up is the Snog album (David Thrussel) he
has collabrated with Ollie Olsen on some of tracks and there should be 12"
out soon. I also heard some stuff Ollie did with one his students which
makes shpongle sound like elevator music.
let's hope some of this sees the light of day soon.

Last I heard, Psy-Harmonics (read Ollie) was broke & Devic Craft are
funding the new Rip Van Hippy album, though it will still be released
through Psy-Harmonics. Also heard that Ollie was not writing much at
all & working in a bookstore. Maybe these are unfounded rumours, but I
thought the source was pretty reliable (Geoffrey Hales)??? Anywayz, if
SWM have a new album almost ready, then that's supreme. I liked the
last one, made me revisit some old rock albums I haven't listened to in
a while.. now I play them on a weekly basis (esp. Sonic Youth's "Dirty").

						| i dont think that devic craft will really be funding a psy harmonics release, but they will most probably be releasing the rip van hippy album in europe.theres a bunch of new shaolin wooden men tunes that are pretty kickass, but i dont know who will put them out as all the labels putting out this sort of stuff are more or less broke... |

i have it from a reliable source (who'll be releasing an album soon on Devic) that this is indeed the case.......
the new Rip Van Hippy album will be a Psy-Harmonics release, funded from Devic Craft,.... perhaps with european distribution from them too.

						| If I'm not wrong, he's about to release an album for Devic Craft Cordings. You should check this label's releases. This is exactly the kind of music u're looking for.

						| SWM makes one of the trippiest and weirdest music I;ve heard. It's very very heavy, very complex and very very interesting. I'm talking of course of the Supermindway album. Ollie Olsen is a genious. Check out his "Emptiness" c.d Majority is never right!
