I dont see any problem with SJ festival being held at a new location. As long as the fest dosent lose its vibe and vision, its going to be an amazing thing.
It has always been the idea by the orgs to take this festival to other places, since it began in 2007.
Yes Boom, Freedom etc are being held in their respective countries always. But who says it a must that u should have to hold it at the same location always. The idea of holding a yearly festival at diff locations is something new and it will be a wonderful thing.
SJ being a 2 year old fest has been voted as the 5th best festival in 2008, so the ppl involved with the fesst have the potential to make it bigger better. Only thing to be kept is mind is not to lose the vibe it generated since the past two years, else its just gonna be one of the many commercial fest held in europe.
As for now, lets just make sure we make this year better than the previous. Spread good vibes and +ve thinking..
Jatra's are never possiable without people!!!!

Any info on what sound system is going to be used this year ?
Is it remotely possible that it would be a well tuned Funktion 1 after reading the appreciation thread in the trance section ?

we havent thought of another edition yet..
one step at a time 
this year we have "Das aero format array" sound for the sorround sound.
also we will be uisng Crystal sounds of Mackie like previous years..
funkton 1 is good and clear but the speakers wear off after continious use.
where as we have experienced mackie stays stable and they are crystal sounding..
this will be the first time we will be using Das array on souround system .. so lets see.. But our experiments with this sound shows the spectrum is flat and the throw is really amazing.. there will some serious damage for sure..

awesome aseem, this is the precise reason jatra made it to top 5 fests list. all the effort you guys put in is highly appreciated. pleases give top priority to clarity and professional tuning of the sound system as the music would be the heart and soul of the fest.

Hope it dosen't happen anywhere in the world except NEPAL... btw will BOOM, FREEDOM or any other festival be held in NEPAL, I don't think so... Shanti Jatra in totally a Neapl affair, and hope it stays that way... Orgs shed some lite....
