Just a small correction on Dogon's post, Gidra played on the second night, i think he started around midnight, after which, syntax took onto the decks followed by KDD who went on till early morning hours untill the beast! Neuromotor! took over and made us all fly. I am not sure who played before Gidra coz I was flying beyond the mountains of Nepal. I do have a lot of pics and videos, but I'm not sure how I could post it so that all could see

Shanti Jatra was the beginning of one of the most amazing experiences. The festival itself was a work of art ... great musical programming, professional organisation, very discreet but tight security, full fledged deco, beautiful powerful colourful and insane bunch of dancers trancers thinkers chillers and the wonders of Nepal to keep us in the zone for the entire trip.

Music was spot on. Festival started off on a chill note, moved through almost all the multigenres and settled into some deep psychedelic music. KTs set had great movement from the middle onwards. White Wizard picked up on the vibe and took the sound deeper and faster. Very tight night production.
Gappeq was one of my fav's that night. Soundscapes moving over bass heavy lines ... fantasy inducing sounds. Giuseppe was another standout, taking us up the Parvati path with implosive sounds... very thought provoking. Psykovsky was nothing like I've heard before... the sounds were produced in such a way that it transcended any kind of dance music. Spent time running around during his set without much concentration on the floor so it came though as a very vivid experience... vibrating molecules, loves in the air, chasing another around the tree...ermm, dont think descriptions will fit this one. Vectro Electro brought on the sunrise Geomagnetic style. Lots of Azax style riffs and power shots... got the morning floor grooving after the Psykovsky shakeup. The sun also brought forth everything the venue had to offer... enough to keep anyone happy for a lifetime.
Psyboriginal and Nitin kept the morning power flowing and the floor jumping all through the morning and into the afternoon.

Saturday evening started with some chill sounds by Tatva Kundalini... DJ set with tablas. Great 'live' combination that we've been working with for a while too... hope it catches on in the future. Gidras set that night was brilliant. Especially the last couple of tracks. Full psychedelic sound... not a space in there... every frequency playing with parts of the mind.

Syntax Error was the beginning of an explosion that lasted till Kindzadza finished. Jaffas kept the GOW sound alive taking leads into even more expansive territories. Leo's set was just bonecrushing... abstract exploration of space science. travelled far! Neuromotor brought back the ground and the stomp. The floor was peaking and tweaking, colours and faces in the sun. Beautiful sunrise that kept shining. Shivamoon took over seamlessly and kept the floor jumping moving between power and psychedelia.
The lineup moved on, ending with Hatte Baba playing the classics through the years while the crowd fizzled back to Thamel.

Thamel was the beginning of another adventure in Nepal. One's thats going to take us back to Nepal many times

Was wonderful to finally meet the Indian and Nepali trance tribes. Things really feel like they're in perspective this side of the world. Lots of hope and lots of excitement about further adventures. Hope to see ya all very soon!

Shanti Jatra was wonderful!
This was a very well organized festival.. absolutely no screw ups.. everyone was very helpful..good security..
The decor was really cute and pretty.. the lasers were a great addition.. looked mad on the trees..

Got there on 26th noon.. set up camp.. the location was fantastic.. the views from our tent were breathtaking.. the dance floor was nearby.. nothing like stomping among the tall trees..

The music was great! excellent flow and transitions.. all the dj's and artists did a fantastic job..
yidam.. i loved your chill set.. it was a great welcome to the festival and the madness that followed..
pulse.. ur proggy tunes got me groovin.. it was great to meet u after ages!
i couldnt catch much of psykovsky my body got the better of me and i think i passed out somewhere..
woke up to vectro electro banging choons into the morning.. followed by psyboriginal who always manages to get the crowd stompin mad.. followed by nitin.. who kept the morning tunes flowing.. great job there..

Saturday night was a banger one after the other.. gidra.. great start off in the night with ur twisted set..
syntax error.. ur set was fantastic.. mind bending sounds.. i was in a state of drifting confusion..
kindzadza.. clear crisp dark sounds.. thoroughly enjoyed ur set into the morning..

28th morning was a wonderful sight.. beautiful smiling faces and lovely vibes..
neuromotor got the crowd going nuts..great energy and a great performer.. really in tune with the crowd..
hatte baba closed the festival with his beautiful selection of classic tracks..

really enjoyed all the performances by the local dj's.. great talent..

overall.. had a wonderful experience at the fest and in nepal.. something i will remember for a long time to come..
nepal.. i shall see u again..
all u beautiful folks.. i hope to see y'all again next year!
thanks shanti jatra crew for what could only be an amazing experience as my first party in nepal.. cheers to rodney and the crew.. u guys pulled it off amazingly!

Im so happy that this was pulled of brilliantly by you guys inspite of ll the obstacles which u knew what those were. Im really sad and it is unfortunate that i was not able to make it for this. Was really looking forward to meet all my old friends and my close buddies Rod,andrea, ani and co. But im so glad to see everything went so well and it is a commendable feat.
Once again hats off to everyone involved. Great job u guys did.

Hope to see u all sometime soon.

All the best.
